Say Yes

Say Yes to Life and Say No to Things You Might Consider Negative

There are many ways to say yes to life. You can say yes to rest, strangers, and even your dreams. There are even ways to say no to things you might consider harmful. Here are three things you can say YES to today. They might surprise you and change the way you see your life.

Saying yes to rest

When we feel tired, we typically want to jump into bed. When we do, we get an instant feeling of physical relief. Then we try to fall asleep. It's hard to fall asleep fast, and our muscles scream for rest. In reality, we probably don't say yes to enough things and need to rest more. Try saying REST to your body, mind, and spirit more. I have a new book coming out soon, and its title is, “Don’t Lean in, Lay Down, Why Naps, Better Bosses, and Less Daily B.S. Will Save Your Life!” Please heed my advice and get horizontal now.

Saying yes to strangers

The improv comedian Nick Hassell recommends saying yes to strangers. He's been studying this fear and has found that it can be a massive deterrent to talking to strangers. We fear that people will judge us, think we're nuts, or that we're trying to sell them something. But for any of us who have a business, we know that saying YES to talking to people we don’t know is how we stay in business. Every friend was once a stranger. Try cultivating a conversation (or at least say hello) to a stranger today.

Saying yes to dreams

Saying yes to your dreams is a decisive step towards achieving your goals. It will help you gain more freedom and control over your life. When you are fearful, you can easily talk yourself out of new opportunities and experiences. However, if you say yes to your dreams, you will begin to see them as possibilities and not obstacles. We will begin to open the door to a Universe of possibility.

A dream about saying yes to a dream is a good omen that signals a new beginning and new growth. You'll experience a feeling of acceptance, self-recognition, change, and inner love. You'll also have a positive impact on others. You'll be happier, healthier, and more successful.

Saying yes to new experiences can help you broaden your knowledge and understanding of others. It will also give you a chance to explore your likes and dislikes. Saying yes to new experiences will also help you form new connections.
